About the Founder
Dhruv Srivastava
Dhruv Srivastava is a student at the Oberoi International School, where he studies Mathematics, Economics, Global Politics, English, French, Computer Science. Dhruv is extremely passionate about developmental policy and economics - he is particularly interested in understanding the relationship between disciplinary tools, techniques, or perspectives on the one hand, and the diversity of contexts in which they can be applied.
Dhruv has had the opportunity to explore these interests through different opportunities, including summer enrichment programs at Harvard University, mentored and collaborative research projects exploring topics such as the IMF, geopolitics, and substance abuse interventions. This latter undertaking laid the foundations for Project NIDAR, through which Dhruv hopes to build on his research to spread awareness about, facilitate, and directly support evidenevce-based approaches and interventions for substance abuse among youth from underserved communities. Project NIDAR is also an extension of Dhruv's broader interest in volunteering and community service, which he had the opportunity to pursue with organizations such as Operation Smile and Teach for Fun, as well as through an internship with Dasra, a philanthropic strategy firm.Â
Beyond these academic and community-oriented pursuits, Dhruv is also an avid public speaker (competing and holding leadership positions in multiple MUN conferences), writer and author of an original blog exploring political economy in India, and is also passionate about cubing!
